Me in the PC:
Hello! My name is Mandi, more widely known as MPHK, and I have been a member of the Petz Community for well over 15 years. I took a break between 2006 and 2009 but came back full strength ready for anything! I started off Petz Showing when forum and site pose shows were big. My first ever pose show favorite was a mixie dog named Warg. He is a mix of the Sunshine Catahoula file and the original Abno Cardigan Welsh corgi. During the DKC days when I showed those corgis primarily, he was sort of an accidental breeding, but has survived to be my, to this day, favorite petzy pet ever!

Present day I run Purple Hayes Kennelz (my original and still surviving kennel) and Show primarily French Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, Australian Shepherds, and a few other breeds here and there. I fell in love with the Chart Polski file from Kamvis Kennelz and the Saluki, Greyhound, and Whippet files of Grand Theft and have created a sight hound kennel called Hyperdrive. Just last year I added Dynasty Shar Peis to my list of kennelz and only a few months ago I opened Honeydukes Shih Tzus!

Me in RL:
I am 27 years old and work as the inventory manager and shift runner at a single location family owned Pet Store in my home state. I married the man of my dreams, we call him "Biff". We were married on August 29, 2010. We have been on our own in our first apartment now for over 2 years. It is tough at times and money is tight, but we scrape by and get stronger every day!
Since moving into our apartment we have added four wonderful cats to our lives. First is Brutus Beefcake (red mackerel tabby) and Yngwie Malmsteen (solid black). Two 5 year old brothers who we adopted at a shelter a few towns over. They are wonderful and quirky and we love them both. Brutus has a heart murmur and has had kidney issues, but good food and regular vet checkups are keeping him healthy!
Next we happened upon Rosalie. She was living in a house in my parent's town with TONS of other cats, way too many people, and all of the cats wreaked like smoke (more than just cigarettes). So I mentioned the cats to them and they said how they were "adopting" them out to people and that they had two available... well I didn't need to hear any more. Biff and I had been talking about another cat for a while at this point and were all set to add little "Bitty Kitty" to our family. Rosie is now 2 years old and is just the sweetest creature ever! Plus she is just adorable!
Then there is little Mia "Meepy" Meepleson... I was at work one day when a man walks in and says "Do you guys have a box I can put this in?" I look over and he is holding a tiny kitten.... I was like "What?" and he said he had found the little thing in the parking lot wandering around by herself... So needless to say I had her in my arms and bathed her and fed her all within the following hour. I had called my shelter and asked if I could bring her there (we had no plans for a fourth cat at that time) and they said sure. So I took her home and had planned to bring her to the vet before taking her to the shelter (mainly to make sure she was leukemia negative...) and when I took her to the vet they informed me she was only 4 weeks old. I was shocked. She was larger than a 4 week old kitten should have been. We suspect she is mostly if not all Maine Coon. When we found out she was so young I told the shelter I was going to foster her for a few weeks until she was older because the shelter is only open for two shifts and I wanted to make sure she had enough food and water throughout the days and was pooping enough. So yeah BIG foster failure there. She's still with us and we love her! She is now 1.5 years old and is a whopping 8 pounds!
